The Heart and the Small Intestine are the organs most affected by the summer season. Here are some healthy additions to your daily diet and routine that will help you stay cool and in balance with the season.

         1. Think Juicy!! Since keeping hydrated is of prime importance, eat a lot of fresh organic produce such as: cucumbers,               watermelon, summer fruits, salads, asparagus, tomatoes, jicama, and zucchini.         2. Drinking cooling herbal teas (no caffeine please!!) such as mint, chrysanthemum, and chamomile can help beat the               heat.         3. Avoid processed foods, heavy, greasy, meat laden meals (good rules in general). You want to keep it light, so that                 you can stay light and in the flow of the season. Get ready to put those dancing shoes on!!

         4. Make the most of this abundant summer light- get up with the sun, go to bed later, and if you can, rest at midday.

         5. get your errands done early, before it gets too hot- wear a hat and sunscreen.

         6. Spend time at the beach or the mountains.

         7. Remember to stay hydrated!! Drink at least half your body weight in ounces per day.

         8. Have fun!! Stay positive and believe every day is your best day!!
