Beginning Tarot  1 with Sheila Tanenbaum

You will be guided  through the 56 Minor Arcana and the 22 Major Arcana of the Tarot through the use of numerology, the elements, and the planets of astrology.  You will receive notes on each card and you will walk away with an understanding of how these cards can be used as a guiding tool for your spiritual journey. Begin to examine the cards in terms of their spiritual and pragmatic meanings. You will develop your abilities to channel in your psychic insights through the use of the several Tarot card spreads and realize a degree of accuracy in reading the Tarot as a means of helping yourself and others. The deck of choice is the “Universal Ryder Waite."

This is a weekly support group that provides a fun, interactive and educational experience that helps us to understand the relationship between our body and soul and the artificial ingredients in our nations' food supply which undermines our efforts to live healthy, happy, meaningful, and in-soul lives.

The weekly meetings will help us:

• Understand the direct correlation between what we eat and our image perception.
• Develop new habits by making healthier food choices for ourselves and our families.
• Understand nutritional labels and ingredient lists.
• Expose the myths, lies and deceptions of food manufacturers and third party lobbyists.

The drum is an important instrument for indigenous people of all continents, giving both rhythm and meaning to life.  It provides the beat for dancers to proudly offer their thanks and praise to the Creator and Mother Earth during ceremonies.  It was and still is used to help heal the sick and as a way of carrying songs and prayers to the Great Above Waken Takan.  The tradition of the drum is still very important today and is a way of bringing the People together and energizing healing.

This drumming circle is a Shamanic experience and brings together our community at The Healing Light Resource Center.  Drumming awakens our inner spirit and will carry our prayers and affirmations into the Universe to Creator.  Through drumming we can change the cadence of our mental chatter, alter the energy of our environment, journey for guidance from Spirit, meet our power animals and Spirit guides, and regain our inner peace.

Bring your drum, or a percussion instrument if you have one, and a snack to share.  There will be some extra drums if you do not have one. Please come join us in this joyous & healing tradition! Children 9 and above welcome to participate.

Have you ever wanted to tune into your body, mind and spirit so that you could decide what is most honoring for you?  Success in life is largely determined by just how in tune we can be to our body’s signals.  The truth is we’re getting so much valuable information all the time, but so often we miss the signs we’re getting because our level of connection with ourselves is not as developed as it could be.  When we are not as connected to our body, we feel stressed, overwhelmed, disconnected, unmotivated, and unhealthy.

Becoming more connected to your body and its wisdom is the key to feeling happy, alive, motivated and energetic in life.  This workshop is designed to teach you the skills and strategies that you can employ to gain greater access to your inner wisdom.  Through a series of mind-body-breath exercises, called Somato Respiratory Integration (SRI), anyone can gain greater access to the body’s signals and signs.

The Seminar

There are 12 different SRI exercises that will be taught by Dr. Brian Ghessi of Radiant Wellness.  These exercises will be broken down into 3 different modules.

The modules will be broken down as such:

Module #1 – Discover (Physical Energy Level)  - SRI Exercises 1-3 and Intro Concepts

Module #2 – Transform (Emotional/Mental Energy Level)  - SRI Exercises 4-7

Module #3 – Awaken and Integrate (Spiritual Energy Level)  - SRI Exercises 8-12

Scientific studies show that sound can produce changes in the autonomic, immune, endocrine and neuropeptide systems. Every atom, molecule, cell, gland, and organ of the human body absorbs and emits sound. The entire body, as well as our brain waves in a relaxed state, vibrates at a fundamental frequency of about 8 cycles per second, literally entraining and attuning us to the basic electromagnetic field of the earth itself! Many cultures and religions revere sound so deeply as to believe it called the universe into being.

For the Hindus, all was dark and quiet in the universe, until the first movement in the universe created the sound "AUM". It is the mother tone, containing the frequencies of all other sounds." Reiki Circles are an opportunity for those new to Reiki to experience the Reiki energy in a group setting and for those who already use Reiki in their daily lives to connect with each other as part of a larger community. As the power in all of us collectively is stronger than the power of one, this energetic fusing of our positive intentions and Reiki energy can manifest amazing shifts.

We’ll begin with a beautifully guided meditation to create a sense of calmness and to gently introduce our energies to one another.  Each of you will receive a Reiki Healing Attunement, temporarily increasing the flow of Life Force Energy through your body.
